Algeria’s National Liberation Front (FLN) held its 10th congress on Thursday in Algiers although it was preceded by tension.
The FLN’s members who were against the congress did not attend the opening as expected. A total of 6,300 representatives came to vote for the party’s leader for another term.
Security forces were remarkably present.
All the proposed decisions were approved.
The FLN’s members elected their “honorary leader” as a “real leader” with the slogan “Renewal and Rejuvenation.”
Arabic was voted as the official language of presentations.
