Saidani: France should recognize its dark history
Secretary General of Algeria’s National Liberation Front (FLN) Amar Saidani Tuesday said the Algerian State has a sovereign decision about a possible visit paid by Pieds Noirs to Algeria.
“French are very aware about the crimes they perpetrated in 1830-1962. They know their dark history and should admit it,” Saidani said at the People’s National Assembly (APN).
“France should recognize its crime against Algerians.”
Speaking about his party’s initiative meant to support the president’s program.
“It is a national initiative which was put at the disposal of political parties and national associations.
Asked about the constitutional revision, Saidani said the president knows when to conduct it.
“The FLN will have its candidate after 2019.
Asked about his belongings in France including real estates, the FLN’s leader said French justice was fair with him.
“I thank French justice for dealing fairly with the issue. You can check the judgement on French authority’s website.”
