Sailing Teams On Ships To Facilitate The Entry Of Algerian Migrants Through Homeland Ports

General Directorate of National Security resorted to the inclusion of sailing teams at the level of ships that are coming to Algeria, especially from France and Spain to facilitate the entry procedures of the Algerian community to the homeland during the summer vacation.

In this regard, the cruising team of the national security services, arrived, on Sunday, to Algiers port coming from the French city of Marseille, after the implementation of various security measures for the benefit of travelers who are coming to the homeland and facilitate the process of their entry in a short time.

The team which is made up of seven elements conducted inspection operations on documents to ensure their validity on board of the ship that carried 1460 passengers, and that was also loaded with 605 cars.

Head of the Border Police First Team and Police Dean, Baza Mourad, confirmed that this security measure is part of the policy of the General Directorate of National Security “to modernize the border police services”.

“Police prepared a number of security arrangements by including the cruising teams and providing them with biometric stations at the level of passenger ships to carry out border control and documents for travelers from Marseille to Algiers”.

“Under the slogan of “security and facilities” that was adopted by the General Directorate of National Security, a number of security measures are taken at the level of all ports in order to combat cross-border crime and secure the passengers journeys”;

“These cruising teams work alternately and seek to facilitate the journeys of passengers who are coming from Marseille and the city of Alicante in Spain, at the level of Algiers, Oran, Skikda, Mostaghanem and Bejaia ports. “

According to the same official, each passenger has to undergo inspection at the level of the ship and conduct the process of documents’ control, requiring each traveler to show the biometric passport in less than 18 seconds”.
