Different pharmacies at the national territory noticed, since weeks, a dangerous scarcity in chronic diseases drugs, especially the “AVLOCARDYL”, which concerned an important category of society including the heart patients, who complained since a quiet of time from the lack of medicines in pharmacies and scarcity of drugs, at a time when most of them were forced to resort to their relatives who live abroad to bring them the drug that is considered necessary for the prevention of sudden and dangerous heart attacks.

Heart patients live, since the beginning of the holy month, a state of panic and fear as a result of the scarcity that is registered in AVLOCARDYL, as all attempts of roaming between pharmacies to find the drug were unsuccessful, which would put their lives at risk if the Health Ministry will not interfere.

According to patients’ statements, the scarcity led some of them to resort to their relatives who are living abroad to acquire the drug and save the lives of sick relatives.

Echorouk visited some pharmacies, and the owner seemed angry because the Health Ministry should intervene to solve the problem, especially since the drug is a necessary requirement for patients in the absence of a “generic”.

They were surprised because the ministry did not move, despite the emergence of confusion since more than a month, as a pharmacist said she obtained 5 packs of “AVLOCARDYL” last Wednesday, but the scarcity forced her to split a single pack between 4 or 5 patients who she considered as usual customers, while she refused to give it to other patients, which usually buy it from different pharmacies.
