Security services recorded two cases of disappearance of two youth in the mid-twenties, who are originated from the municipality of Baraki in Algiers, Echorouk identical sources said.

Same sources added that the concerned citizens join the armed organizations in Syria, as this coincided with a massive campaign that was carried out by the security services against suspects in terrorist activity.

“Two youth disappeared and join Syria via Turkey, and they were not very religious, especially one of them who was known of being delinquent. Recruitment took place in one of the mosques, which noticed much recruitment that took place between 2003 and 2007 to fight in Iraq against US forces after the fall of Saddam Hussein’s regime.

This is not the first case of youth from the same city who join the armed organizations is in Syria, whether Daesh or Al-Nusra Front, and the first cases were organized by the forensic officer in Al-Nusra Front “D.M”, who is also called “Abu al-Muthanna Aljazairi, who is from the municipality of Al-calitus, which also noticed recruitment operations that targeted youth.”

“A newly recruit died in a suicide attack a month ago and his family received consolation, and was notified of the death of its son by phone call from Syria. Video recordings of the families of the dead may be sent through social media.”

Precautionary measures were taken by security services to stop the recruitment, as they conducted extensive operations in the past few days, and seized passports of former convicted in terrorism issues, just days after they got them, because they suspected the intentions of the concerned to get passports, and launched investigations with the families of the two men who  disappeared, to know their ambitions and especially those who proved their sympathy with terrorist organizations in Syria and Iraq, through their Facebook pages.

It is well known that control on flights that are heading to Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, Libya, were intensified, to prevent the recruitment in armed organizations, which made it possible to thwart the enrollment of a “significant” number of youth from the eastern states like Constantine and Khenchla, through a flight to the Turkish capital of Istanbul, under the pretext of participating a an athletic training there.

Recently, a government committee of different sectors, including interior security is working on foreign fighters’ file, in order to modify the legal procedures to follow up those who intend to travel abroad, as a Data Bank was created to monitor persons who are suspected of joining terrorist groups outside the borders, and review the procedures to control the passengers across the border.

Actions that were taken contributed in the awareness of the new generation of Algerians, in their reluctance to catch up with the armed organizations, which is confirmed by intelligence periodic reports that count over 200 Algerian fighters in Syria, which is a very low number compared to the Tunisians, whose number reached 3,500 or Moroccans who are 1,500 fighters in Syria.
