Security services dismantled a cell for recruiting Algerian youth in “Daesh”

Gendarmerie services dismantled, on Monday, a cell for supporting terrorist groups, that is working to build bridges with the terrorist organization “Daesh”, and deport youth to war areas.

 Same services arrest 12 people who are active in Msila and a number of provinces, while various security services arrested, since the beginning of the year, 356 people across 15 provinces, as they are active within cells to recruit youth in “Daesh”.

Judicial sources told Echorouk that the process of arresting 12 people, on Tuesday, is due to the information that reached the regional group of Msila gendarmerie, as the activity of the cell for support and assignment of terrorist groups in the municipality of Ain Lahdjel includes 12 people whose ages range between 20 to 50 years old.

 

According to the same sources, the cell that has been dismantled by Msila gendarmerie thanks to the intelligence work, and is a dangerous cell, which activity is not confined in the recruitment in Msila only, but it extends to several other provinces, along the lines of Bouira, Tiaret, Djelfa, Algiers, Laghouat and other cities, as the preliminary investigations indicate that the group worked for the benefit of terrorist groups, in “spying” on the movements of members of the gendarmerie, the armed forces and police, and the assignment of extremists with ammunition and clothing, because they were not prosecuted previously.
