Sellal asks French services to launch investigation on Rebrab’s company in France “Fagor Brandt”
Is it the end of the businessman Issad Rebrab? This is the question that is raised after the developments in the relationship between the owner of “Cevital” company and the government, which reached an unprecedented level of degradation, since the emergence of Rebrab activity in the nineties.
“Jeune Afrique” French magazine said that the Prime Minister, Abdelmalek Sellal, asked the services of queries which belong to the French Finance and Public Funds Ministry, to launch an investigation which aimed at knowing the source of his money in the deal of purchasing a factory for the production of household electro appliances production “Fagor Brandt”, which amounted 200 million Euros, to make sure that funds are legal and legitimate, and are not contraband or stemming from suspicious sources, a demand which was rejected by the French authorities, according to “Jeune Afrique” amagazine, arguing that the agreement which was signed between the government of Manuel Valls and Rebrab remains a secret.
Previously, Industry and Mines Minister, Abdessalam Bouchouareb, has attacked Rebrab strongly, and accused him of supplying “junk” materiel and declaring it as new, for the renewal of equipment factory of “Fagor Brandt” in France, asserting that these accusations are documented, but Rebrab strongly denied these statements.
“Mazouze complex” General Manager, Ahmed Mazuze told Echorouk, promised to lower the price of sugar to 55 ZDZ, to confirm that the government actually initiated in ending “The era of monopoly”, at the level of the activity which has been monopolized by CEVITAL’s owner for many years, although the large number of failed attempts to break this monopoly.
