Surveillance Cameras System to be generalized

Government decided to develop a strategy which intended to cover the total of sensitive points in the large provinces, and this through placing surveillance cameras that are remotely controlled and link it to the security and national gendarmerie services, each according to its competence, and it included a fairly time surveillance system of cameras across the 4 cities, which are Algiers, Blida, Ghardaia and Constantine.
Interior Ministry said, in a response that was sent by the former minister of the sector, Tayeb Belaiz, dated on the current May 17, to the MP for the Karama Party, Mohamed Daoui, regarding the cameras surveillance systems across large cities; ” Process of developing of the overall cameras surveillance systems came in the framework of the basic tasks of public authorities in maintaining the security of persons and properties. First initiatives of using these systems was applied in 2005, as it included the urban perimeter of Algiers, on the occasion of the organization of the Arab League Conference.”
The ministry estimated, in the text of its response, that the dissemination of the use of surveillance cameras, referred to the valuable results, and then it decided to cover a total of sensitive places in the large cities with cameras.
The ministry reported that the process includes, until now, Algiers, Blida and Ghardaia, which noticed violence in its neighborhoods, as the process was circulated in Constantine Province for security coverage of the culture event Constantine Capital of Arab Culture, and other cities where cameras are under installation like Oran, Setif and Annaba. As cameras surveillance will be enhanced in Algiers and Blida.
