Suspects to appear in court for terror-related cases

A court in Algiers will decide in 20 terror-related cases out of 165 between November 30th 2014 and January 15th 2015. A total of 40 suspects will appear in court for being involved in a case.

The terror suspects are led by Droudkel Abdelmalek and Abdelmalek Guouri alias Khaled Abu Slimane. They are accused of murder and joining a terrorist group.

On December 2nd, K. Redouane will appear in court accused of urging for murder, joining a terrorist group and possessing a war weapon. He allegedly attacked residents in a village in the province of Medea, killed 15 people, kidnapped two girls and sent them to a terrorist group led by Antar Zouabri.

A Libyan suspect will appear in court on December 14th charged with killing attempts between 2007 and 2012 including an armed attack on municipal guards in the province of Tizi Ouzou (100 km east of Algiers) in 2008.

The court will also decide a new case of Mokhtar Belmokhtar along with the case 11 companions of Ghadir Mohamed alias Abdelhamid Abu Zid, an eliminated terrorist who led a group operating in the Algerian desert and the Sahel region.
