Syndicalist bloc of Education decided to paralyze schools on 10 and 11 February, in a unified protest movement that is described as a warrant.

If the ministry continued in adopting the policy of ‘silence’ without responding to their demands, the Seven syndicates threatened to escalate the situation and launch an open-ended strike.
National Secretary in charge of the organization at the National Union of Education Workers, Kouidri Yahyaoui, told Echorouk, that it was agreed during the eighth meeting of the bloc, to engage in a unified national strike on 10 and 11 February, to pressurize the Education Ministry, which has remained silent about the claims that were filed since several years ago, especially those attached to the files that were not resolved despite the ministry’s assurances.
“If the ministry will respond to the syndicates’ demands after the two days’ strike, it will escalate the protest movement and engage in an open-ended strike. Syndicates bloc decided not to undo the demand of regaining the violated rights, which are 30, particularly what is related to the file of ‘educational system’, through recovering the technological institutes, to use them in special training and expand the National Network for High Schools, and the inauguration of the Council and the National Observatory and the involvement of representatives of syndicates, with the revision of the with the revision of the programs and curricula in line with the pace of national school.”
