Syrian Arab Republic asks Algeria to grant it facilities to enter its goods to the Algerian market, especially since the Algerian commercial register classifies Syria second in terms of the volume of foreign business in Algeria with the presence of more than 1,300 business and investment activities of the Syrians.

Syrian Economy and Foreign Trade Minister, Hammam Al Djazairi, searched in Sunday’s meeting, with the Ambassador of Algeria to Damascus, Salah Boucha, the ways to deepen and develop cooperation between the two countries in various fields, especially economy, trade and investment, and open new markets for Syrian exports, so as to ensure the needs of the two countries from goods and materials, and take action to facilitate the flow of goods and investment movement.

Syrian Economy Minister called for the need to arrange a joint meeting with the owners of Syrian companies that are operating in Algeria, and in the presence of the ambassador to discuss the development of work between the two sides and address the difficulties that faced the promotion of mutual cooperation between them, and make the necessary arrangements to reshape the Syrian Algerian Joint Business Council, in accordance with the appropriate mechanisms.

On the other hand, the Algerian ambassador in Damascus said that the visas that were obtained by Syrian businessmen constitute a ratio of more than 50% of the total visas that have been granted, which are 300 visas.
