Syrian family arrested on boat for “Illegal immigrants” eastern Algeria

Echorouk learned from informed sources, that the floating unit of border guards, which belongs to the eastern waterfront of the fifth military region, foiled in the late hours of Sunday’s night, two attempts of illegal immigration, that were carried out by two teams that are formed of 15 and 13 people, who were on board of two traditionally made boats.

As coast guards became aware of the existence of two suspected boats at sea, which have been monitored by the cameras of the border guards from the control tower of Annaba (eastern Algeria) coast border, where a group of guards intervened aboard naval vessels, and arrested the first boat, which was carrying 15 youth, aged between 19 and 30 years old, and who came from Sidi Salem Bouni in the center of Annaba city, as they sailed at 9:00 pm, from the beach of Sidi Salem Annaba.
Same services monitored the second boat, which carried 13 people at 1:55 am, at 26 miles or approximately 40 kilometers far from north-eastern Rass Hamra,.  
Five Syrians were among illegal immigrants, including a family consisting of a father,35, mother,30, and a two kids, 2 and 4, who were forced to take the risk due to poverty, after they stayed in Annaba for nearly two years, and their profession was begging in order to gain money which ranged between 80.000 dinars per person, which were paid to the barons of human trafficking in exchange for their illegal migration to Europe, as the same services arrested and rescued them from certain death, especially since the information that were received by the coast guards confirmed that the sea southern Srdina is very turbulent and the waves are high.
The two boats were immediately transferred towards the Naval Station of the Border Guards forces which confirm that they they are in good health, and have been subjected to treatment by the emergency medical services.
Border guards also seized the boats, which were equipped with a 40 horsepower motor and food stuff. 
Arrested illegal immigrants have also been questioned by agents of the border guards in Annaba, eastern Algeria, and found that they had set sail on Sunday night from Sidi Salem beach to try illegal migration towards the northern bank of the Mediterranean Sea.
