Tayeb Louh:”Case Of Houssam Is Complicated, Investigation Is Still Ongoing”

Case of the child Houssam Belkasmi, who was found dead in the forest of Sidi Suleiman in Bousmail (Tipaza), is complex and it is currently before the public prosecutor, Justice Minister, Tayeb Louh, said.

He said in a press statement, on the sidelines of the final session of the parliament in its two chambers, that the security and judicial investigation is underway on the death of the child Houssam in Tipaza (western Algeria), adding that the gendarmerie and justice are investigating with suspects who were judicially prosecuted. 

“Media should not rush to predict the reasons of the case until the end of investigations. Public prosecutor, who is regionally competent, will hold a press conference immediately after the investigation”.

In this context, the Minister called on the to “not rush in analyzes, as results of the investigation may be counterproductive because it comes the kids category, which requires consideration of the sensitivity of the case.

Previously, the family of the child Houssam Belkasmi, who was found dead by the national gendarmerie of Tipaza on Saturday, on the highway that is linking Bousmail and Khemisti, as his body was not in a rotten condition, and did not appear to have any physical violence, three days after his disappearance, according to a number of security sources.

Civil Protection Department, accompanied by the National Gendarmerie, transferred the body of the victim to Douira hospital in Algiers for a legitimate autopsy, and same sources confirmed that the child was found on the water surface of a pond on the highway that links Bousmail-Khemisti municipalities.

At the same time, the Scientific Team of the National Gendarmerie continues a field investigation, as the area was cordoned off and a heavy presence of gendarmes was observed in order to find signs and evidence that would solve the mystery of this issue, which aroused public dissatisfaction.

The national gendarmerie found the body of the child Houssam Belkasmi on Saturday afternoon after a citizen contacted the green number for the civil protection services, to report the presence of a dead child inside a pond.

Kid Houssam disappeared since Wednesday from his family home in the district of nine martyrs in Bousmail municipality, after leaving home to buy some sweets from the neighborhood’s shop.

The latest developments in the case of the child Houssam who disappeared under mysterious circumstances – according to the same sources – resulted in the seizure of a tourist car that was parked inside a garage near the perimeter of the family home, on Friday, after it drew attention of investigators.
