The issue of putting an upper limit to players’ salary is raised again

Some football club presidents called for putting an upper limit to players’ salary due to the lack of financial resources.

The Professional Football League Thursday said a committee of some club presidents will discuss the issue to find a compromise between clubs and players.

The issue of putting an upper limit to players’ salary had been raised as the government adopted an “austerity” policy. Yet, “spoiled” players rejected the decision and the case was closed.

Huge budgets are allocated to players while training is absent except some clubs.

Manager of Sawra club Mohamed Zerouati was appointed as a member in the Professional Football League’s board of directors.

This came after a meeting of the League held on Thursday in Sultan Hotel in Algiers.
