Education Ministry authorized candidates for the baccalaureate exams to be late by one hour to join classrooms, in order to avoid the exclusion of hundreds of them due to delays, as happened last year, while it retreated from the decision to install surveillance cameras and jamming devices at the centers.

National Bureau of Examinations and Competitions prepared “back-up” questions for use in case of leaks, as these questions and topics were not used at the 2016 session.

Minister of Education, Nouria Ben Ghabrit, announced during the press conference that was held, on Tuesday, at the Ministry’s headquarters, on the procedures for framing the official exams, such as the baccalaureate examinations or the “forbidden” exams, so that all websites, especially Facebook, through imposing security control, to put an end to the practices of candidates who take pictures in the first minutes of the launch of any exam and post it on the social networks to seek solutions.

“Security control will be imposed in accordance with a plan that was approved by the Interior Ministry, with the securing the headquarters of examinations office in Algiers Kouba, and a number of preservation centers was reduced, and supported with jamming devices, surveillance cameras, recording devices at the same level, as the installation of surveillance cameras at the National Center for Examinations Center was already prepared, as it was also decided to prevent the entry of cars to the exam centers”.

“Exam centers will open at 8 am, and the exams will be launched at 9:00 am, and this period will be allocated to providing guidance to the candidates by the teachers guards and prepare them psychologically, and this procedure will include the evening period as well”.
