Public prosecutor at Algiers Bir Mourad Rais court, sought three years of prison, and a 5000 ZDZ fine, against two youth from Djelfa (southenr Algiers), on charges of sending threats to the French company “Total” in its Algeria branch on behalf of two terrorist groups, which are “Daesh” and “Ansar al-Sharia”.

Facts of the case, according to the trial, are dating back to April 9 of this year, as the defendants sent death threats by sending emails, when the French company was in the process of exploring shale gas, and found during the trial session that the two youth whose ages range between 25 and 30 years, sent these threats to the mother company, and more than 25 customers of the company, as the police of cyber criminality said they are 24 emails that were sent by the defendants to the company that is owned by the uncle of one of the accused, and the company’s special secretary as well.
This criminal act forces the company “Total” to change its cars’ numbers and inform Algiers security services, which in turn, opened an investigation which discovered that the threats where sent from the PC of a customer named “A.S”, who resides in Djelfa .
The two defendants denied the charges against them, and said that the company’s owner is the person who sent the threats after his debts reached more than 16 million ZDZ, which is the value of goods that he took from “Total”, and this caused a heart attack that led to his death after a week of sending the threats on behalf of the terrorist organization “Daesh”.
