Toyota, Suzuki and Mitsubishi plans to invest in Algeria
Algeria’s industry minister Mahdjoub Bedda continues receiving foreign ambassadors at his ministry to present the government’s plan and seek new investors.
The minister Wednesday received the Japanese ambassador. He stressed the importance of developing economic partnership with Tokyo.
Bedda also presented the government’s action plan which gives a big importance to small and medium-sized enterprises.
According to the minister, cars and electronic industries represent one of the most important axes to set up a beneficial partnership for both countries.
He expressed Algeria’s will to benefit from Japan’s experience. He also called on Japanese enterprises to invest in Algiers.
The ambassador conveyed Japanese authorities’ call to the minister to pay a working visit this year.
He also said Japanese car makers such as Mitsubishi, Suzuki and Toyota are interested in the Algerian market.
Bedda said his ministry is ready to examine the car makers’ projects after preparing new specifications which supervise this activity.
