Two Algerian pilgrims disappeared since the incident of the crane’s collapse in Al Haram Mosque, which occurred last Friday, where an Algerian pilgrim died and 17 are wounded, Director of the National Office of Hajj and Umrah, Youcef Azzouza, told Echorouk, on Monday.

“Search for the two pilgrims is under way to determine their place, in coordination with the Saudi authorities, in the hope that they are just lost.”

“Health condition of the Algerian wounded who are in the Saudi Arabia hospitals or at the level of the Algerian mission is stable, and they are recovering day after day under the medical and psychological surveillance for the victims of the incident”.

But other sources reported that the number of missing bypassed two pilgrims, bringing their number to four pilgrims, as authorities do not know if they were in the hospital or are dead, especially in light of the stringent measures that are imposed by the Saudi authorities after the incident, as they do not yet free the dead bodies that are still in refrigeration.
