In the end of a campaign launched by Echorouk group and its subsidiaries including the newspaper, TV channels, Echoroukonline and Echorouk Al Arabi, we wanted to the final phase to be conducted by cartoonists in Algeria and abroad. They responded, in their way, to French magazine Charlie Hebdo which offended Islam in the name of freedom of expression.

The cartoonists joined a unified action and managed to reformulate all what have been said about the attack in France and its repercussions. The most important event was the Je suis Charlie march and the publication of other blasphemous cartoons of our Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him).

The cartoons embody feelings and emotions felt by angry Muslims during that crisis. Readers will realize that the artist cartoonists’ imagination is so large that it could contain those feelings and emotions. Because of that, we wanted to end our campaign by this supplement.

The participating cartoonists:

Baki Boukhalfa, Abdelghani Ben Hariza, Zoubir Ghoukali, Yazid Belabes, Selma, Samir Bouhala, Abdou Abdelkader ‘Ayoub,’ Mohamed Douane, Tahar Djahiche, Bara Fateh, Omar Redouane ‘Gaza,’ and Khalil Kherbouche.
