$9000 To Transport The Body Of An Algerian From Canada

Cost of transporting the body of one of the deceased from the Algerian community in Canada is estimated between $7000 to $9000, Head of the Canadian-Algerian Foundation “Afak” Dr. Houria Kassem, revealed on Sunday.

Ms Houria Kassem was hosted on the “Morning Guest” program for the first radio channel, where she said: “The Algerian government should assist us in transporting the bodies because of the high costs. If the relatives of the deceased wish to bury him in Algeria, they will also have to pay the cost of the plane tickets”.

With regard to the prices of flights between Algeria and Canada, she asserted that the first flight between the two countries is scheduled for June,15, 2007, noting that it is somewhat different, especially in summer, and highlighting that the number of flights reach up to 5 flights a week and more than 7 flights in the Summer season.

“Algerian community in Canada reached 120.000 Algerians who are active in the various fields, including researchers and frames who occupy high positions”.

Dr. Houria Kassem explained that her association works to help all Arab communities, especially the Algerian community that is residing in Canada, by ensuring the concerns of Algerian families and protecting children and women, and its keenness to celebrate the national and religious holidays.

“Algerian schools opened to teach Arabic programs for children with the help of the Canadian government. Our association is keen to maintain the link with the Arabic language at the University of Quebec, which has become one of the recognized languages ​​in the world”.

Head of the Canadian-Algerian Foundation “Afak” expressed the hope to open branches of insurance and banks in Canada to ensure the financial liquidity of the Algerian community.
