The Government has unveiled the new structural regulatory scheme of the National Agency for improvement of housing and development “AADL”, with the setting up of Central and regional structures across the country’s wilayas or provinces.

Under this new framework, the relevant authorities decided to create 6 regional directorates, while the provincial “AADL” structures will be entrusted with the task of receiving the different housing projects and ensuring the sound use of national products in the various housing construction processes.

This decision was taken by the housing and town planning minister, Abdelmadjid Tebboune and published in the country’s official Gazette.

The General Directorate of the agency will be tasked with the overall coordination among the various Central and regional structures of the “AADL’, as well with the regular control and the close follow-up on all housing projects underway.

It should be noted that the government’s action includes the construction of 1.6 million housing units of all categories during the next five years 2015-2019 to absorb the structural housing deficit recorded in the sector.

According to this plan, the government will continue the implementation of programs of public housing, promotional urban housing, assisted rural housing and hire-purchase promotional and public housing.

These programs will be increased to meet all eligible candidates’ requests including youth and will also involve Algerians not residing on the national territory.

For the housing lease type (AADL), the government intends to pursue the construction of 230,000 units to satisfy, in priority, applicants of 2001-2002program, and plans to build another 400,000 units during the next five years (2015-2019) to meet new requirements.
