The terrorist organization al-Qaida adopted a new tactic of expansion at the global level, and it has begun to attract and recruit ISIS fighters against the background of the huge losses it has suffered in Syria and Iraq, British “The Guardian” newspaper published in a report in its Friday number.

Al-Qaida started this recruiting campaign in Algeria in August 2017, even before ISIS lost its strongholds in Syria and Iraq, followed by the second war that it luanched in Syria last September”.

European security analysts and security officials were quick to research the phenomenon of al-Qaida recruitment and its impact on their countries in the future, and some believe that al-Qaida will now move its vast cell of allied groups and factions around the world to launch more attacks against the West, thus observing its vanguard role among extremists.

Al-Qaida has not launched terrorist attacks or adopted any of them on European countries for some time, but analysts say this is a strategic and tactical choice by al-Qaida and not an evidence of weakness.

The newspaper explained that in view of ISIS suffering of the organization from recent losses in the gear and lack of funds and the shrinking of the territory that is controlled by all these factors, this makes it difficult for ISIS to attract new recruits to its ranks and to gather the necessary resources to carry out operations, as many of its elements think that al Qaida is a safe haven for them.

However, another team concluded that it is difficult to predict the disappearance of ISIS, which continues to pose a significant threat to the West, and remains an inspiration for many Islamic extremists and continues to adopt terrorist operations in European countries and the United States.

Many of the al-Qaida means indicated that many of ISIS fighters in Sana’a declared “repentance” and joined al-Qaida team for ill-treatment by their officials in the criminal organization, as in Afghanistan where many of ISIS elements left, particularly in the isolated Central Ghor region where the strategic importance of the Taliban. This is similar in Baghdad, Syria and other countries where extremist organizations that loyal to ISIS spread.
