Algeria allocates $30 million to events in 2015

Algeria’s Finance Act 2015 allocated $30 million to organize conferences, forums and events in the next year. The culture ministry obtained the lion’s share as it is in charge of the Constantine, the Arab Culture Capital 2015.

The ministry is offered 1 billion DZ as part of the event-related expenses along with 250,000 DZ related to the 2014-2015 budget.

The religious affairs ministry’s expenses budget also increased to 517,870,000 DZ as part of the same event.

The Prime Ministry also benefited from 28,582,000 DZ to be in charge of expenses related to Algeria’s participation in a world fair in Italy in 2015.

The justice ministry’s budget increased by 4.07 percent in terms of expenses on conferences organization.

A total of 28 million DZ was allocated to the higher education ministry as part of expenses on conferences and researches.

The sports ministry’s budget is estimated at 2 billion and 97 million DZ intended to international events due to be held in Algeria in 2015.

Earlier in 2010, the government cancelled all the scheduled conferences as party of austerity strategy. It ordered the Prime Ministry to organize its conferences at ministry headquarters to avoid extra expenses.
