Algeria Hands Over New Proposals To Macron To Compensate Victims Of Nuclear Explosions
The Minister of Mujahideen (war veterans), Tayeb Zitouni, revealed on new proposals that Algeria would hand over to the French side regarding the file of compensation for the French nuclear explosions in Algeria.
Zitouni said in a statement to the press on the sidelines of a historic symposium that was organized by the National Museum of Mujahideen (war veterans) on the occasion of the 61st anniversary of the historic eight-day strike in Algiers, on Sunday, that a meeting of the Algerian-French Joint Committee will be prepared to study the file of compensation for the French nuclear explosions in Algeria, which will see the submission of new Algerian proposals to the French side.
The minister explained, in the context of compensations, that they will affects groups and individuals that are affected by nuclear radiation, in addition to the environment, which exceeds 100 square kilometers of lands.
Zitouni said after the talk of the French Museum of Natural History, which confirmed France’s readiness to accompany the restoration of 41 skulls for the martyrs of the resistance to Algeria, that there will be a discussion with the French side in this file.
