Algeria to take a consensus of old cars
Algerian interior ministry plans to make statistics about old vehicles which enter Algeria and their conformity with international standards in global market.
Algeria news agency (APS) cited archive general director at the ministry Abderrzak Henni saying the government wants to know the number of old and new vehicles which enter Algeria.
He added that the ministry works in cooperation with specialized institutes to find out standard of vehicles which enter Algeria. “This will help to reduce traffic accidents.”
“We set up a system to enable district employees to withdraw checking lists. People will be able to get their car registration documents on the spot. They can withdraw it no matter where they bought the car,” he also said.
Earlier, people used to wait for three months at least to obtain car registration documents. At present, they get it on the same day they ask for,” he added.
