Spanish media uncovered the ugly face of the centers for temporary detention for illegal immigrants, which showed Algerians sleeping in bugs and scabies in the center of Valencia city “Tapaderos”, which already noticed frequent brutal attacks by cops and security agents, against Algerians.

Spanish news website “El Diario” quoted the Algerian Rachid as saying that he suffered bugs and scabies in Tapaderos center in the city of Valencia, as scabies were on his shoulder and neck and almost in all his face.
“Scabies spread since last summer, among guests of the Center, and especially among the Algerian illegal immigrants, who represent the majority of detainees”.
According to testimonies, the Center’s management is notorious and did not intervene, despite numerous complaints that it received from illegal immigrants, especially after they took pictures of bugs, insects and scubies in different mattresses, and gave them to the concerned without intervention.
Algerian youth Rachid added that he and other five Algerians started a hunger strike, to condemn what they lived inside the center, which was invaded by bugs, insects and scabies, as neither the authorities released them nor deported them to homeland.
Previously, the Spanish center’s cops attacked brutally a number of Algerian illegal immigrants causing eloquent disabilities and injuries, an issue that Valencia Court re-opened recently after it used video tapes of surveillance cameras, as a senior officer accused the company of standing behind the process of attack, but the irony is that the victims were deported to Algeria by the Interior Ministry, which was the subject of accusations by human rights organizations of trying to muzzle the victims and not to allow them to have a fair trial.
