Algerian pilgrims lived hell after sudden postponement of a flight to the holy sites

More than 450 people, were about to go to the holy places to perform Umrah, on the eve of Thursday and lived a “black day”, following the postponement of a Saudi Arabian Airlines flights, which was programmed to take off within 11:00 pm, but it was delayed to “suddenly”, and without providing any convincing justifications by those in charge of the airport.

Number of travelers told Echorouk about indignities that was suffered by elderly and people who are living with chronic diseases, during an entire day, revealing that everything was normal, after the submission of luggage and passports within Six pm on Thursday, five hours before the start of the flight, which was programmed within the eleventh hour of the night, but they were surprised by postponing the flight to 2:00 pm, and then to 10:00 am without offering any convincing justifications, both by Saudi airlines representatives or the airport management.

In light of the clear ambiguity about the date of the flight, a number of travelers tried to storm the airport track to board the plane, what caused the intervention of security services, and ended by the occurrence of argument and fight which led to the occurrence of hysteria and screaming amid passengers, including the elderly and those with chronic illnesses, alarmed by flight delays, after the deterioration of the health status by a number of them, because of not taking their withheld medications and baggage on the plane.
