The 28-year-old Algerian young man, named Fattimi Naim, who used to  live in the sixth district of Marseille, southern France, was riding his tourist car, on the main street of the city, immediately after performing the Maghrib prayer, but he was unfortunately hit by several gunshots fired from a vehicle that was passing by.

The French police authorities rushed to seal off the site and opened an in-depth investigation into the assassination in order to track down the culprits and find out the reasons behind the horrendous crime which jolted the Algerian community members settled there.

The assassination of the young man Naim, the son of the eastern Algerian province of Khenchela, is the second lethal incident to occur in the Marseille region, targeting the Algerian community members residing in France, with the heinous murder earlier this year of Algerian Djamal Lageh who also hailed from Khenchela, and who was cowardly thrown from the 14th floor of a tall building in the city of Marseille.
