Algerian volunteers in Iraq under Al Qaeda Grip
20 Algerians enrolled in Al-Qaeda urge Algerian government to help them leaving Iraq

Homeward bound Algerians coming from Iraq where they volunteered to fight against allied forces there, revealed to “Echourouk “ that some 20 Algerians enrolled in Al –Qaeda in Iraq are urging the Algerian government as well as there families to help them leaving this country.

This group of militants whose age varies between 22 and 23 are currently dwelling in Samara, (north of Iraq) . They are asking a helping hand from the Algerian authorities along with their families to move to Syria in order to get closer to them as lat ditch effort to come back to Algeria.

One of the volunteers, who spoke on condition of anonymity, declared to our newspaper that these desperate young men asked from the head of the Algerian Human Rights Watch Committee, Mustapha Farouk Kessentini, to intervene at earliest in order to bring them back to Algeria.

Moreover, the volunteer added, they have sent letters to their families via other fighters who returned home , in which they informed them that they are still alive and wish to come back home, but they can afford it since they are under strict surveillance of Iraq- based Al Qaeda leaders.

The volunteer who returned back went on saying” We went there (Iraq) to fight against the enemy, we just needed to die as martyrs and win are ticket to heaven, but things went wrong due to internal conflicts between foreign volunteers and Iraqi fighters .. The situation worsened for the Algerians out there especially that they were denied leadership within this organization and were reduced to suicide bombers  …”

The volunteer further declared to”Echourouk” that these Algerians have succeeded to join Samara through Tikrit in a move to get closer to the Syrian borders , but couldn’t get any further because of the barren desert area separating the two countries.

According to well informed sources, some Algerian families get in touch with a Syrian national called “Abdennabi” who thrived his business in passing volunteers from-to Iraq per contra of an amount varying between 1million 114 thousands Algerian Dinars and 1 million 120 thousands.

Young women recruited to convert young men to Christianity  “Echourouk” newspaper gets information that a group of evangelists operating in the capital city, Algiers succeeded in converting no less than 20 female university students said to be of a “great beauty”.  Meanwhile, the same group recently organized a “forum” in which they teach newly converted young men how “to attract other fellow young people to the Christian faith”.

According to the same sources, the recruitment of beauties is not fortuitous, since their role consists in seducing young men either university students, or not and make them fall in the trap of love to convert hem afterwards and “redeem their tormented souls”.

Estimates show that Algiers counts some 100 converted young men, using all kinds of stratagems to attract these desperate people including money, false promises to pursue studies abroad for some , job opportunities for others and even the meanest means such having sexual intercourses with the recruited girls.

Amazingly enough, “the dream team” of converted girls are moving from university to another across the country as they please bringing with them huge sums of money to put in practice their process of evangelization.

On the other hand, well informed sources reveal that a British businessman operating here in Algeria has transformed his business facility, based in a trendy neighborhood here in Algiers, to a church in which he teaches Protestantism every Monday evening.
