Algerians paid 8 billion ZDZ to foreign embassies without obtaining “Visas”

Algerians paid 8 billion ZDZ to foreign embassies without obtaining “Visas”

Financial value which was expanded by Algerians during 2014 in order to obtain “Schengen” visas, reached 8 billion ZDZ, while the percentage of the rejected files reached 45%, which confirms the twisted roads that are practiced by some embassies, which belong to the “Schengen” space.

An official source from the European Union in Algeria, told Echorouk that the total cost that was paid by the Algerians to get a visa to enter the territory of the European countries, during 2014, reached more than 8 million Euros, the equivalent of 8 billion ZDZ.

“According to the figures of the files that have been rejected by some embassies that are the most demanded by the Algerians without being compensated, the French embassy occupies the top with 45.000 files that were rejected in 2014, representing an estimated 28% of the total deposited files for which applicants paid more than 10.000 ZDZ without compensation.”

Simple calculation shows that the French Treasury benefited from four million Euros without calculating the value of the incomes of the 200.000 visas that were granted, in addition to the funds from which the new system benefited, which it used through the filing of applications and the granting of visas through a telephone system bill that is belonging to the French Embassy or through the filing of a visa application via internet, and the website of the Centre, which has achieved a quantum leap compared to the traditional method which was applied in the past.

Last report of “SIMAD” French organization in charge of helping immigrants and immigration matters, shows that the Algerians who did not get a visa are different categories, businessmen, tourists, family visits, study, treatment.

French Consulate has adapted its decision of preventing to fit all cases, which make it difficult to explain logically for the great care which the Algerians give for respecting all the conditions that are required by the consulate in applicants’ files.

Embassy of Belgium refused about 5,000 visas out of 9,000 files that were deposited in 2014, as the owners paid every time around 1,100 ZDZ with a total of 360,000 euros, which is more than 3 billion centimes per year, and the same thing for the Spanish Embassy, which refused 6,000 visas during the same period with a total cost of more than 400,000 Euros, and more than 3.5 billion Euros.

Swiss Department of Immigration received last year nearly 8000 files, and refused 6,000 files worth 2 billion ZDZ.

Switzerland joined the “Schengen” space only at the beginning of 2009, which led to doubling the number of files after it was approximately 5,500 applicants’ files in 2008.
