The National People’s Army magazine “El-Djeich” stressed in its Editorial of January 2015, the ANP’s firm commitment to fully performing its constitutional duties and its determination to pursuing the relentless fight against terrorism and ensuring the protection of national borders.

According to the “El-Djeich” Editorial, the People’s National Army (ANP) “remains committed to its constitutional duties with dedication and sincerity,” adding that “the Algerian armed forces will make more effort and show more vigilance by continuing the unflagging fight against terrorism and organized crime while duly safeguarding national borders until the final elimination of these internal scourges from our society with all the adamant determination.”

The editorial also noted that the National People’s Army “will develop and modernize the training system at the various military schools and centers and will continue to develop and expand its industrialization operations into new areas across the country.”

“The National People’s Army had a long path marked by heroic positions and major phases in its glorious contemporary history. In spite of decisive events in Algeria’s history, it remained republican and unified. Its strength comes from its unity inherited from the National Liberation Army,” said the magazine which represents the military institution.

“This experience made the National People’s Army stronger and more determined to proudly continue performing its constitutional missions in a professional and rigorous way”, it added.

“This ongoing endeavour, it said, will contribute to building a potent Algerian nation, propping up its institutions, defending its borders, preserving its dignity and sovereignty and ensuring the safety and well-fare of its citizens.”
