ANP Army warns against any attempt to scuttle Algeria’s national unity

The Algerian military clearly warned in the latest issue of the ANP’s “El Djeich” magazine against any attempt aimed at undermining national unity, and highlighted the seriousness of tampering with national unity and cohesion, stressing that these type of nefarious maneuvers could jeopardize peace and internal stability, and curb the ongoing development process, while resulting in the deterioration of the situation and putting in jeopardy the very existence of the State.

“The National People’s Army (ANP) will remain committed to fulfilling its constitutional responsibilities with dedication and loyalty. Its elements provide greater efforts, redouble their vigilance and continue the fight against terrorism, organized crime and the defense of national borders with rigor and determination until the total eradication of this scourge, ” El Djeich” magazine underlined in its latest editorial.

To be at the height of its laudable mission, the Algerian army continues to seek modern military industry as well as a civilian workforce. This modernization was one of the main goals of president Abdelaziz Bouteflika, who has been considering that the efficient fight against terrorism and organized crime depend entirely on upgrading further the national military institution.

On the ground, the Algerian army has made substantial efforts in terms of the fight against terrorism. This has resulted in the elimination of many dangerous criminals and the defeat of many smuggling organizations. The country’s institution, in charge of securing the nation continued to focus on the need to improve and develop training programs and prepare the forces so that they are in able to perform their tasks and in the best conditions. 

The National People’s Army (ANP) further reiterated its staunch resolve to spare no effort to maintain and safeguard the security, stability and sovereignty of the Algerian nation.
