Labor, Employment and Social Security Ministry approved a set of measures and procedures to facilitate medical prescriptions’ compensation, in addition to the activation of posterior monitoring of the activity of the National Social Security Fund, by forcing all regional directorates of the social security to compensate all the prescriptions on their level, in a move that aimed at eliminating bureaucratic procedures .
The ministry received black reports on the refusal of social security centers to compensate some medical prescriptions for unknown reasons, which requires the socially ensured to pay drugs dues in every time, in light of the recorded imbalances between local agencies and pharmacists contractors, prompting the creation of mixed State-level committees, comprising pharmacists contractors and representatives from the Social Security Fund, which mission is resolving all the outstanding problems, and treat all prescriptions and compensate pharmacists, to avoid citizens’ movement towards social security centers.
This step falls under the elimination of bureaucratic procedures that are taking place in some provincial directorates, and as a step to resolve the outstanding problems directly by the commission, and facilitate citizens’ task to visit social security centers to complete the procedures of compensation.
According to the spokesman for pharmacists’ syndicate, Mennaa Salaheddine, it was decided the National Social Security Fund, has decided to re-activate the mixed provincial committees, which include representatives from the syndicate, and officials of agencies to resolve the solve problems regarding the compensation of medicines at the local level, and activation of relationships between the two parties, after two years of the freeze to facilitate the process of pre-payment.
