Bio-metric identification card to be adopted in Algeria

Informed sources told Echorouk that in order to put this bio-metric document into service in the wake of the adoption of the bio-metric passport, and to update and modernize the identity documents, the Interior Ministry launched in the declaration of national and international bidding. 

According to available information, this new card will replace the identification card in its current version, as it would facilitate communication with public, administrative and digital facilities, through personal data relating to identity, and posts as well, as it will include in the future data or applications that can affect the needs of other sectors.

New electronic bio-metric identification card will include the electronic slide that is with contain secure and effective information system through bio-metric techniques.

Echorouk sources said that this card will be a key to modern electronic administration and modernize public service which allows citizens to gain time and reduce the transfers between various public facilities.
