General Assemblies which were held by teachers (strikers) in educational institutions call for escalating the protests through boycotting the second semester’s exams and all administrative services, while CNAPESTE syndicate announced on continuing the strike until achieving demands.

National Secretary in charge of Information and Communication at the National Independent Council for the Three Educational Stages, Messaoud Boudiba, told Echorouk, that there is no intention to return to the sections and stop the strike, until that the National Education Ministry will realize the demands that were filed, and which were written in the notice of strike.
“Teachers held general assemblies in their educational institutions and agreed on the need to escalate the protest movement through realizing different proposals like boycotting the second semester’s exams, and the process of filling the marks’ bulletins, deliver the results, and organize a national sit-in out of the Ministry’s headquarters, and the Education Directorates’ doors.”
“We should not talk prematurely bout a white years, on the grounds that there is enough time to rectify the missed lessons, due to the strike, and thus instead of talking about the missed exams, it is supposed to draw attention to the missed lessons, because both of the teachers and pupils  are outside the school. We call upon the Prime Minister, Abdelmalek Sellal, to intervene urgently, to find radical solutions for the files at hand, without worsening the situation.”
“Actions that were taken by the ministry, through the departments of Education came to break the strike, which will ultimately lead to worsening the sector’s situation, and this will not solve the problems.”
