Counter-Terrorism: Elimination Of 13 Terrorists In January 2018

The Ministry of National Defense (MDN) announced on Wednesday the elimination of 13 terrorists and the surrender of 5 others in addition to the arrest of 23 elements involved in logistical support for the nefarious terrorist gangs during the month of January 2018.

According to a monthly toll  issued by the MDN, 70 terrorist hideouts, 21 Kalashnikov rifles, 2 heavy machine guns, 47 bombs, 33 ammunition stores, 10 anti-personnel missiles, 9 projectiles and 19 rifles were destroyed during the same period.

Furthermore, during the month of January, 205 people were saved from drowning at sea, the MDN added.
