It’s has been officially confirmed by judicial sources that the overdue affairs related to “Sonatrach 01” as well as the “East-West highway” and the assassination of late national security chief Ali Tounsi will not be exposed before the current session of the Algiers criminal court owing to a heavy agenda.

The next session which will deal with 140 various criminal cases including 27 terrorism-related affairs is slated to kick off on January 18th and to wind up on March 12th 2015.

Several outstanding terrorism-linked affairs will thus be on the court’s agenda including the hearing of henchmen and relatives of terrorist leader Abdelhamid Abu Zeid. The latter face charges of aiding and abetting terrorist groups operating in the South of Algeria then led by Abu Zeid, Abderrazak Al Para and Mokhtar Belmokhtar.

In addition to abducting foreign tourists, these nefarious terrorist groups based in Southern Algeria also indulged at will in extensive drug trafficking and cross – border smuggling.

The defendants are also accused of collecting funds for the terrorist groups and providing them with logistical means including foodstuffs and shelter.

Several arrested terrorists including senior “Aqim” member alias Gasmi Salah who have recently sworn allegiance to the “Daesh” terror group will also account for their heinous misdeeds before the criminal court.
