Doubts about leaking Sonatrach’s “secrets” to foreign companies

Sonatrach’s board of directors was surprised of leaked information about specifications and calls for tenders on the Internet. An investigation was opened and computers were inspected as a number of people are believed to be involved in this, Echorouk has learnt.

Some computers at the exploitation department were inspected. Security forces asked to open some computers which do not work anymore. A number of electronic device suppliers were questioned as they have contracts with Sonatrach’s branches.

Earlier during Sonatrach 2 case-related investigations, a large debate was raised about leaked information inside the group. Ten days ago, a judge in a court in Algiers ordered to inspect Sonatrach’s offices and the Algerian Exterior Bank to obtain commercial and customs documents about the group’s deals.
