Education: Algiers Security forces abort a sit-in of economic services employees

Security services aborted, on Sunday, a sit-in that was organized by employees of economic services, out of the National Education Ministry doors in Ruisseau, and they arrested some of them before letting them go and take them to different road transport stations.

A protest in which several independent syndicates participated, in solidarity with their colleagues and denounce the unilateral and provocative decisions of the minister Benghabrit.
Immediately after the arrival of the protesters, whose number surpassed 600, to the National Education Ministry, in the early hours of Sunday morning, coming from various cities of the country, to denounce all the arbitrary illegal actions which led to the death of their colleague, when security forces started in dispersing them, and took them in buses to road transport stations.
For his part, President of the National Union of Education and Training Workers, Sadek Dziri, said in a statement to Echorouk, that if the National Education Ministry has continued to pursue its arbitrary and unilateral policy, it is impossible to stop the economic services strike.
“Some of the economic services’ employees have been beaten and humiliated by their managers after they refused to stop of the protest, at a time the ministry called for the need to provide clarification on the alternative grant they talking about, which they said it had obtained the Prime Ministry’s approval, starting to call it a pedagogical grant or equivalent, its value and how it is calculated?
UNPEF chairman revealed that the National Education Ministry, has ordered the central directors, advisers and officials to go to cities to negotiate with the protesters in close to soothe the souls, especially after the death of their colleague from Oran (western Algeria).
