Education: No new teacher recruitments and no early retirement in 2015

The Ministry of national education has decided not to assign new budgetary posts for the benefit of new teachers for the time being by urging all its provincial departments to use “at a maximum” all their available budgetary positions including those left unused after “teachers’ full retirement”.

Well-informed sources told “Echorouk” that the Education ministry has also issued strict instructions to prevent “early -retirement in the educational sector” except in extreme cases.

The newly-appointed human resources Director, at the national education ministry, Abdelhakim Belabed, met last week in the first encounter of its kind with the provincial education managers to whom he expounded the ministry’s new guidelines  concerning notably the imperious need to fully use all the old  budgetary positions available in the fifty education directorates scattered across the country.

As a result, these 50 provincial education directorates will not be entitled to earmark new budgetary posts for new teachers on account of the newly-announced austerity governmental measures prompted by the sharp drop of oil prices on the world market, the same sources added.
