Elimination Of A Dangerous Algerian Terrorist In Tunisia

Elimination Of A Dangerous Algerian Terrorist In Tunisia

Tunisian security forces shot dead a dangerous Algerian terrorist who joined criminal groups in Djebel Semmama in the Kasserine region yesterday, Saturday, January 20, the Tunisian Interior Ministry said in a statement.

This concerned, according to several Tunisian media outlets, Bilal El-Koubi, right arm of the ring leader of the so-called “al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb” (AQIM), Abdelmalek Droukdel, alias Abu Mossaab Abdelwadoud.

The slain terrorist was entrusted, according to the Tunisian ministry, with reforming the terrorist group “Katibat Okba Ibn Nafaa”, most of whose leaders were eliminated in Tunisia.

The Tunisian Ministry of the Interior added that it is, for this purpose, in close contact with the Algerian authorities, especially as the terrorist shot dead was considered to be the main coordinator between several terrorist groups in the region, namely “AQIM”, “Al Qaeda” in Libya and the “Katibat Okba Ibn Nafaâ”.

Bilal El-Koubi was, it should be mentioned, gunned down in an ambush laid by the Tunisian security forces against a terrorist group made up of 4 to 6 people.

A Kalashnikov rifle and a load of ammunitions were retrieved during this anti-terrorism operation

The other members of this criminal group were, according to the Tunisian authorities, injured and combing operations with the help of Algerian military forces are still continuing to track them down.
