Elimination of terrorist chieftain Gouri steeps remnants of terrorism into disarray
Forces of the National People’s Army (ANP) have steadily pursued their military operations launched several weeks ago against the remnants of terrorist groups, and which were crowned with success with the recent elimination of the chieftain of the so-called “Jund Al Khilafa” terrorist group alias Abdelmalek Gouri in the Isser locality, east of Algiers.
This smashed terrorist group was behind the heinous assassination of French national Hervé Gourdel, last September in the eastern Kabylie region.
Reliable sources told “Echorouk” that this terrorist group which sworn allegiance last September to the “Daesh” terrorist group based in Syria and Iraq, is made up of only 20 elements, 6 of whom have already been neutralized, including their ringleader Gouri, in the relentless anti-terrorist operations conducted by the ANP forces in eastern regions of the country.
Several reports said that about 300 Algerians are now fighting within the ranks of the so-called “Daesh” terrorist movement in Syria and Iraq, including 48 snipers and a limited number of potential suicide-bombers in addition to some 2,400 Tunisians and 1,500 Moroccans.
