European Union grants €30 million to fund projects across 10 Wilayas

European Union will give support to Algeria worth 30 million euros, to fund local and rural development projects in 10 Wilayas, which will allow the creation of thousands of jobs for jobless citizens.
Financing agreement will be signed here on Monday, by the National Solidarity and Family Minister and Agriculture and Rural Development, and Foreign Affairs Minister to the European Union in Algeria, at the headquarters of the National Institute of Agriculture in Bach Djarrah, to contribute to the local and rural development, and the creation of a larger number of jobs.
The first program, according to a statement of the European Union in Algeria, which copy is available to Echorouk, is related to local development and social services, as 43.4 million euros, including 23.4 million euros are granted by Algeria and 20 million euros by the European Union, as they are addressed to improve living conditions and create jobs across six Wilayas, which are Tiaret, Saida, Tissemsilet, Ain Defla, Chlef, and Medea.
Second financing program is devoted to rural and agricultural development, as 20 million Euros, including 10 million Euros from the Algerian side and 10 million euros from the European Union, will be distributed across four Wilayas of the country, including Laghouat, Setif, Tlemcen and Ain Temouchent, and will be addressed to encourage local production, especially in the field of agriculture, traditional industries, tourism, environment and culture.
