FFS Leader Houcine Ait Ahmed suffered a brain stroke, lost the ability to speak

First National Secretary of the Socialist Forces Front, Mohamed Nebbo, refuted the death of the party’s historic leader Houcine Ait Ahmed, confirming that his health condition is stable after suffering several strokes and lost the ability to speak.

“FFS leadership received a health bulletin by Houcine Ait Ahmed’s family.”
“Houcine Ait Ahmed suffered a stroke and lost the ability to speak, and reports about the historical leader of the party are false. Leadership of the party received an official letter from the family of Houcine Ait Ahmed, who is in Switzerland, accompanied by a medical bulletin about his health to publish it in the party and beyond it.”
According to a health bulletin that was read by Nebbo, in a press conference at the party headquarters after the National Board meeting; “Health of Mr. Houcine Ait Ahmed, 88, was affected by his exposure last year for several strokes due to a heart attack in 1999, what makes him lost the ability to speak. Ait Ahmed, is currently undergoing a medical follow-up by the Lausanne hospital doctors in Switzerland.”
FFS leader, Hocine Ait Ahmed, was transferred on Saturday, to the Lausanne Hospital in Switzerland, after suffering a brain stroke, where his condition was described as dangerous after he lost some body functions.
Previously, Ait Ahmed, who suffered health problems years ago, withdrew from political life in the last FFS Congress which took place in 2013.
