French Marseille Witnessed The 8th Murder Case Of Algerian Immigrants

Algerian community in France, said last goodbyes on Monday afternoon to the young man Ben Khaira Abdelkader, 26, from the province of Khanchla (eastern Algeria), in the cemetery of Marseille, after they performed funeral prayers at the city’s mosque.

The victim, Abdelkader, died last Sunday at the hospital in Marseille, suffering from serious injuries and wounds after he was shot, three days ago, by unknown persons, where he remained in the recovery in full coma after being subjected to three full operations by French doctors, but he died.

This incident shook the members of the Algerian community in France, who denounced the terrible crime that is one of the series of crimes in Marseille recently that targeted Algerians from the city of Khenchla (eastern Algeria). 

Abdelkader Ben Khaira is the eighth victim of these repeated crimes, as he was subject to gunshots in his body when he was returning home, in the 14th district, in the center of Marseille. 

Abdelkader Ben Khaira is from Kais in Khenchla, and moved to France with his family since 15 years, where he works as a security guard in a private company in Marseille, in addition to his passion as a hairdresser. 

Echorouk sources reported that Abdelkader was assassinated last Friday evening, when he finished his work and on his way home he was surprised by people who got out of a covered vehicle, without numbering, and shot him, before they fled.

In this crime, the number of Algerian nationals who were killed in France and are originated from the province of Khenchla, eastern Algeria, is eight youth.

The Algerian community in France, especially in the city of Marseille, asked the French and Algerian authorities to intervene and stop these crimes, calling upon officials of the two countries, to cooperate in order to arrest the killers, especially since none of them has been identified, since the beginning of the series of murders, which began with the death of Djamal Lagha and ended with the assassination of Ben Khaira.
