Khalifa before Blida Criminal Court in March

Trial of the fugitive billionaire and owner of the collapsed Khalifa group, Abdelmoumene Rafik Khalifa, will take place in Blida Criminal Court, during the month of March, where he will be tried in the case of “Khalifa Bank” in which he was judged in absentia to life imprisonment in 2007 on charges of organizing a criminal gang, bankruptcy and dishonesty, Echorouk reliable sources said.

According to the same sources, the public prosecutor at the judicial council of Blida will program the issue of Abdelmoumen Khalifa, who is currently detained in the punitive institution of Harrache, during March, and this after the file satisfies all the legal procedures of the Golden Boy to be referred to trial, especially since his case has raised a lot of controversy.
It is known that Abdelmouomene Khalifa was sentenced in absentia in 2007, to life imprisonment by Blida Criminal Court, after his involvement in organizing a criminal gang, theft and fraud, and falsification of official documents and bankruptcy, an issue that has been moved after the discovery of a financial hole in the main fund of Khalifa Bank, by the Bank of Algeria in 2002 which is estimated to 3.2 billion dinars, as the decision was made to follow-up on the right of judicial managers of the bank and its subsidiaries, and the Golden Boy fled to London after the discovery of the case.
