Algerian Foreign affairs Minister Ramtane Lamamra has brought out the need to pinpoint the nefarious capacity of the self-proclaimed “Islamic state terrorist organization” (ISIS-Daech) in Libya and other countries and to precisely define the threat it represents.

“Consultations were held with several countries to define the nuisance capacity of the terrorist organization +ISIS-Daech+ in Libya and in other regions so as to pool resources to avert the terror groups’ spread beyond the Libyan borders”, Lamamra asserted in a joint press conference held Monday in Algiers with his visiting Dutch opposite number Bert Koenders.

“We are concerned, like other countries of the world, about the looming threat of the terrorist organization +ISIS-Daech+ for the security and stability of Libya and neighboring countries,” Lamamra stated, adding this adverse situation prompts us to ” back up the country by all legal means to enhance the Libyan army and to ensure that the Libyan state is the paramount actor in the national rebuilding process.”

As for some information about the training of elements of this terror organization in the use of prohibited chemical weapons, Mr Lamamra noted that “such information should be checked out and required in-depth and minute work by the relevant security authorities.”
