Launching Of Candidacies For Conduct Of Taraweeh Prayers During Next Ramadhan

The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Endowments announced in a correspondence issued on December 24th 2017 that the candidacies concerning the selection of Imams entitled to perform Taraweeh prayers for the benefit of the Algerian community members settled overseas during the month of Ramadhan 2018 will be launched shortly.

The selection contests will be organized according to the Ministry’s correspondence during the month of January 2018. 

The relevant application form should be withdrawn at the level of the official website of the Religious Affairs Ministry www.marw.dz before it is filled out by the candidate and returned by e-mail accompanied by a copy of the biometric passport, with not less than six months’ validity on 15 May 2018 at this e-mail address: arawih@marw.dz.

 A hard copy of the file shall be deposited at the level of the Director of Religious Affairs and Endowments according to the location pf the applicant’s workplace. 

The correspondence of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Endowments said that the categories concerned include Imam Al-Muallem, or the teacher of Quranic education, provided that the latter meet certain stringent conditions, with the candidate required to be a teacher in his class and to be the custodian of the entire Holy Qur’an. 

The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Endowments set the deadline for endorsing candidacies on Thursday, January 11th, 2018 at Midday. 

The files should be deposited at the various directorates on the same day. The candidacies won’t be accepted beyond the deadline.
