Volatility in the distribution and scarcity of medicines for some specific dangerous diseases, does not refer to the Drugs National Agency, which has remained until now a dead letter since four years ago, enabling lobbies to trade in medicines to control the fate of thousands of patients, spokesman of Pharmacists Syndicate, Abdelouahab Mennaa, told Echorouk.

“Final list of the missing drugs on the market has not yet been identified, but what is noted is that the drugs for pregnant women are missing at pharmacies over a year ago, especially “Polygynax” and some respiratory diseases for kids like asthma and shortness breathing. The problem is that since there is a missing medicine today, it is possible that after a week it will be traded normally and all this is due to the control of lobbies in the pharmaceutical market. Dealers who are operating in medicines trade, are dealing with a commercial mentality, neither scientific nor caring about the health of patients.
“Problem of lack of medicines and scarcity will not be solved unless the National Agency of Medicines, which was developed by a presidential decree and all applied texts exist since four years ago. This agency does not operate on the ground. Health Ministry should intervene in order to eliminate the problem of scarcity of medicines, and save the market of medicines from businessmen who see of it a commercial market and do not care about the health of thousands of patients who suffer in silence after they despaired to find a drug heal in pharmacies.
