Maj. Gen. Guaid Saleh orders the improvement of security units to upgrade border protection performance

National Defense deputy Minister and Algerian National Popular Army Chief of Staff, Maj. Gen. Guaid Saleh, visited the operational units of the Sixth Military Region in Tamenrasset (Southern Algeria).

During his visit he stood on the readiness of the armed troops units to protect the southern borders of the country.

Statement by the National Defense Ministry explained on Saturday, that Guaid Saleh wanted to make sure of the armed troops readiness to protect the southern borders.

“In the context of the field visits to various military regions, Maj. Gen. Guaid Saleh visited on December 17, 18 and 19 operational units of the Sixth military region in Tamenrasset.”

“Same visit allowed him to check out the readiness of the security units through field visit to the defense systems and the spread of troops in the military region’s territory”.

“He also met with officials and units in charge of protecting and securing the national borders in both operational units of Bordj Badji Mokhtar and Ain Guezzam, before ending the visit with a large meeting with officials of the 6th Military region in Tamenrasset”.
